Where do your candidates come from?
Our nanny candidates come to us individually through our agency job posting or referrals to service the NY, NJ, and CT areas. We require an extensive background screening, must contain a minimum of two years professional experience, have great communication skills, and all references are verified.

Are all of your candidates legally cleared to work?
Yes. They are either a U.S. citizen or hold a current visa which permits them to work in the U.S. legally.

How long can this process take?
Its our priority to find the very best candidate that meets your families mutual interests. This time varies per family and could take on average of 2 - 6 weeks.

How much do I pay my nanny?
Salaries are based on each individuals experience, qualifications and job title.

Do you guarantee all placements?
It is our most sincere priority that each and every placement lasts for many years and that all parties are happy with the success of the placements. In the unforeseen event that your childcare provider does not work out in the first 90-days of employment, A T-Spoon of Sugar will undertake the responsibility of locating and referring a new candidate.

Do you charge an application fee?

No, we do not charge an application fee.

Are your candidates CPR and First Aid certified?
Most of our candidates have current CPR and First Aid certificates and our candidates who do not are 100% willing to obtain any training at your request.
